Kisses of Tonic (December 19, 2007)

The tonic spilled over
Onto the lips
Of her soul
Left in
Balance

Fleeing the moment within
Her heart pounded
Out of her
Into her
Chest

His deft swift eyes
Felt her pulse
In the heat
Of one
Emotion

Seeking her relief alone
With her hand
On his hand
In unknown
Waters

Looking into their gazes
Amazed in rapid
Successions of flight
Fluttering angel
Wings

As though nothing existed
His heart raced
Her heart raced
More than
Lust

Towards her backhanded word
He greeted panic
Over the ice
Spilt onto
Laps

The heated frost melted
Giving in to
Live again free
Within her
Eyes

Was this assumed innocence
If her glance
Met his glance
On accident
Purposefully

Neither could avoid collision
The touch came
First and second
In waves
Crashing

For all she waited
He had waited
For that kiss
Touching soft
Petals

When the dream receded
His light lit
Her heart skipped
How they
Met

Forever is about to
Don't say never
Forever is about
To start
Now

This one makes have to stop and catch my breath. I especially loved having it read aloud to me...
